Types of Questions in ROOT Olympiad

The questions asked in Olympiad exams are all multiple choice questions (MCQ) and it will cover the syllabus of CBSE/NCERT, ICSCE and all other important State Boards.
The total marks allotted are 100 and the number of questions depend on the class of participants. The ROOT Olympiad exam format consists of three sections -
Factual – 90 Degree - Knowledge based
Conceptual– 180 Degree- Depth Knowledge with analytical capacity
Scholastic – 360 Degree-Advance level/Problem solving skills/Logical Reasoning  It consists of advanced level questions, which make students think from all directions.    
Factual & Conceptual part consists of the question from various Board’s syllabus
Scholastic part consists of Problem solving skills, related current topics, Logical reasoning problem-based figures, series completion, the odd one out, coding-decoding, mirror images, embedded figures, symmetry, and alphabetical test questions. It consists of advanced level questions, which make students think from all directions.
Total Marks: 100 Marks
Duration of the Examination: 60 minutes

Syllabus & Preparation

The ROOT Olympiad exam syllabus follows the ICSE, CBSE, and several State Board’s curricula.
The Olympiads are prepared considering the common topics of each board. Majorly the syllabus of Previous and Current class is used.
Students preparing for Olympiads, must have previous year’s Olympiad question papers, workbooks and other study material provided by ROOT  publication to score better in exam.
Although Olympiads are considered to be tough exams but Once the basic concepts are clear and all content gaps are filled, Olympiad exams become interesting for all participants. The best way to score better is to be in touch with syllabus, practice previous year’s question papers and refer to Olympiad workbooks provided by ROOT Olympiad. ROOT Olympiad offers study materials in the form of comprehensive Workbooks and Previous year question paper sets.
Students must refer to Online Test Package where test organize on a weekly & monthly basis.
There are a variety of Foundation Course for grades 3,4,5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 that might help the students.
